Dear Colleagues,
Drafts of the following 7 ISACS modules of the International Small Arms Control Standards (ISACS) were released for further consultation at the 4th Biennial Meeting of States on the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons, which is taking place at UN headquarters in New York on 14-18 June 2010.
03.10 - National controls over the manufacture of small arms and light weapons
03.40 - National coordinating mechanisms on small arms and light weapons control
04.30 - Raising awareness of the need for small arms and light weapons control
05.20 - Stockpile management: Weapons
05.31 - Tracing illicit small arms and light weapons
05.50 - Destruction: Weapons
06.10 - Gender and small arms and light weapons
CASA will soon begin a final consultation on all 26 ISACS modules, using an online collaborative workspace. Members of the Small Arms Advisory Network are invited to participate in this consultation.
